Next PAGDIG Meetup: Tuesday 11/25 7pm

We’re getting together this Tuesday the 25th (tomorrow) to drink some beer and eat some pizza, and talk games.

Come out to the Lucky Lab Pub in NW (1945 NW Quimby) at 7:00pm and meet some fellow game devs.

This month some of us met with an advocacy group in Portland (ProspectPDX) to talk about state assistance with the Oregon game industry.

We can discuss the details of that meeting and everything else game-dev related (or not).

Hope to see you there!

Next PAGDIG/IGDA Meetup : Thu 5/29 7pm @ Quimby Lucky Lab Beer Hall

Hi all. We’ll be having an informal get together on Thursday 5/29 7pm to drink, eat, and catch up with what people are up to. Pigsquad will be there with their monthly art/code night, so bring some stuff to work on if you want to join in the fun. Just be sure to charge your battery first because outlets are super limited. However the pizza will not be in short supply.

The Quimby Lucky Lab is at 1945 NW Quimby St. for those of you that haven’t been there yet

See ya soon!

Stuck on anything? Need advice or a sounding board or a playtest? We shall provide these things to the best of our ability while stuffing our faces.

See ya there!

Next PAGDIG/IGDA Meetup : Thu 10/24 7:30pm @ p:ear Gallery

Hello friends, it’s that time again, PAGDIG time. This month’s meeting will be held at the p:ear space located at 338 NW 6th Avenue. The meeting will start at 7:30 on 10/24. Pizza and beverages will be provided. Stop by and say hi to your local game development community. All are welcome, as always.

This month’s discussion theme is overlooked gems. Think of the games you love or appreciate that many people might not know about, be they obscure indie titles, overlooked retro games from the hazy past, or anything else. We will play clips of these games on the screen as we talk about them. Better yet, bring the game for people to play if you have it on a laptop or phone or something.

Also feel free to bring in what you’ve been working on to share!

See ya there,
Dmitri

Also feel free to bring in what you’ve been working on to share!

Hope to see you all there,
Dmitri

June PAGDIG Meetup

The meeting will start at 7:45; please do not arrive before 7:30 as there will be another meeting at the space until that time. Pizza and beverages will be provided.

The topic this month:

The Cards Are On The Table, Now What

In the wake of E3 and what was revealed, the gaming and game making landscape of the next few years is starting to come into focus. What should local game makers take away from this, and where should our scarce development resources be focused? Is Sony’s indie focus sincere? What does the Microsoft “180″ really mean? What about Oculus Rift’s growing street cred and Ouya’s retail release? We’ll talk about it all.

See ya there!
